Day 1: Fes – Ifrane – Azrou – Midelt – Ziz Valley – Merzouga:
On this Fes Desert Tours, travel through beautiful the middle Atlas via Ifrane town “Moroccan Switzerland”. Then have a stop at Azrou and visit the cedar forest to see the Cedre Goraud Tree and watch the Barbary apes leaping upon the trees. Then drive further south and cross several towns while getting the chance to view nomads who live in tents alongside the way, also see the volcanic rocks. Then our stop will be in Midelt where to enjoy lunch. After lunch continue crossing the Tizi N’Talghomt Pass (1907m) and take in the panoramic views. Also cross the beautiful Ziz Gorge and the tunnel. Near the city of Errachidia, see the Barrage Hassan Al-Dakhil that contains the turquoise blue water. Afterwards our drive to Erfoud, where we will stop for a panoramic view of Aoufous palmeraie along the magnificent Ziz River. Then arrive at Erfoud and cross the off road, you’ll be in the hotel on the foot of the dunes. Finally enjoy dinner and overnight stay in a Hotel.
Day 2: Tour Around Erg Chebbi Desert – Camel Ride & Night in Desert:
After breakfast in the hotel your explorative journey of the area will begin, on this Fes Desert Tours. Start by a visit to the nomads in their tents made from goat hair, also learn about the desert life. Then visit the Gnaoua people who originate from Sudan, your unique chance will be to listen to their special music and learn the culture and lifestyle. If you visit the desert on a specific time of the year, you can see the lake of Merzouga with its bird population like the “Flamingos”. On the afternoon make your way to desert camp and explore the mysterious sand-sea of the mighty Erg-Chebbi dunes. Enjoy the beauty of the Sahara and watch the sunset over the golden dunes; then take your dinner in the camp and spend your first night beneath the stars, or in the tents as you wish. Day 3: Merzouga – Rissani Market – Erfoud – Todra Gorges – Dades Gorges:
Wake up early to watch the beautiful sunrise and enjoy your breakfast. Then trek back to the hotel to have hot shower and start your new journey. After breakfast depart to Rissani town and visit the Zawiya Moulay Ali ash-Sharif, also discover the Souk (local market) and the chance to see the Fondouks where donkeys gather. Then your drive will continue to Tineghir passing Erfoud city “the capital of marble fossil”. Furthermore visit the Khatarat (Canal irrigation system) on route. Then our stop will be in Tinejdad or Tineghir; there we will take lunch.Continue on alongside the lovely river until you reach the gorges, hike/Walk on foot on this beautiful place and enjoy the views of high rock walls (up to 300 meters). Then we continue to Boumalne Du Dades and the gorges, you’ll have time to explore the Dades gorges and immerse in rock formations “fingers of monkeys, human bodies ”. Finally dinner and overnight stay in a Hotel.
Day 4: Dades Gorges – Boutghrar off road – Kelaâ M’Gouna – Skoura – Ouarzazate:
After breakfast your journey with begin with a short exploration of Dades gorges. After exploring the dades; we will then cross Boutghrar trail which will lead us to El-Kelaâ M’Gouna. On this Fes Desert Tours, you’ll stop to visit one of the berber nomad families who live in caves, you’ll get introduced to family members and know the way of life while indulging in the taste of a nice sweet cup of tea. Then continue to reach El-Kelaâ M’Gouna and enjoy your delicious lunch. Then we drive to Ouarzazate while taking in the views of the romantic Valley of Roses; the Valley of Skoura palmerie and one thousand Kasbahs.Your visit will include the beautiful Kasbah of Amerhidil which is in Skoura Oasis and you’ll be mesmerized with the immense Palm Groves and beautiful sights of the Atlas Mountains. Then arrive to Ouarzazate town and admire the view of Taourirt Kasbah which was built by the Glaoui dynasty. Finally dinner and spend your night at the Hotel.
Day 5: Ouarzazate – Aït Benhaddou – Telouet – Tizi N’Tichka – Marrakech:
This morning after taking your breakfast, we can explore the Atlas Studios before we go to the village of Aït Benhaddou, which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and there you’ll discover this exotic Kasbah. In the first place this Kasbah is situated on a hill along the fertile river of Ounila; it’s famous because of its role in hosting many films like Jewel of the Nile, The Man Who Would Be King, Jesus of Nazareth, The Mummy, The Message, Lawrence of Arabia, and Gladiator. Then we continue our road to Telouet, and take a break for lunch while at the same time exploring the incredible Kasbah of Telouet. Finally across the Tizi-n-Tichka Pass (2260m) and stop along the way to take photos and enjoying the panoramic views of High Atlas Mountains with Berber villages located on the road.
