Day 1 : Agadir – Marrakech:
Picking you up from Agadir and then we start our Agadir Desert Tours. First we drive to Marrakech city. Arrivat to Marrakech you’ll walk to explore “the red city of Morocco”. Ensuring you to visit the most important historical and cultural sites such as the Majorelle Garden the Saadian tombs, the Koutoubia Tower and the Bahia Palace. Your lunch at a nice cef in the square of Djemaa el Fna or near it, you will walk through the Souks and see hundreds of handicrafts. Then we will bring you to your Riad, where you will spend your night in Marrakech.
Day 2 : Marrakech –Ait Ben Haddou – Ouarzazate – Dades Valley:
After breakfast in your riad, you will start traveling to Ouarzazate and the Dades Valley via the high Atlas Mountains, specifically the Tichka Pass. You’ll admire traveling through the dramatic roads and passes marveling at the fascinating views over the Berber villages and the amazing landscape changing as the day progresses. Arrive at the kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou; the largest one in the Moroccan kingdom. It is constructed by the El Glaoui Et-Hami (the last Berber chieftain) in 19th century, and now it’s a UNESCO matrimonial historical site, which today still houses many Glaoui family members. Your lunch will be at this incredible Kasbah before we continue your Agadir Desert Tours, to Ouarzazate “the Hollywood of Africa”. After passing Ouarzazate we’ll reach the Dades Gorge via the old road of “ Thousand Kasbahs”. In fact this road offers many fine photo opportunities of nature and people. Then we arrive at Kalaat Mgouna – this is the town of and the famous annual festival in May during the roses harvest. You’ll discover the Berber Souk of Kalaat Mgouna, then continue to Bouthaghrar along the Rose valley. On the Dades Valley you’ll marvel at the amazing rock formation known as “the monkey toes”. Then take your dinner and overnight stay in the hotel.
Day 3 : Dades Valley – Todra Gorges – Merzouga:
Today we’ll leave the Dades valley after taking our breakfast and traveling to Todra gorges and Tinghir. On road see the fascinating panoramic views of the ancient mud Berber villages which overlook the valley. Arrivat at the Gorge where you’ll walk under a high red cliff (300m), here several Rock-climbers come to enjoy their preferred sport. Plux you’ll explore the place while hiking for two hours within the valley. Meet locals in their fields and learn about the local culture and geography. After lunch in the gorges, our trip will continue to Merzouga desert passing Erfoud through Tafilalet oasis, the largest date palm grove in Morocco. There you’ll walk in the authentic local souk of Rissani, learning about the trading caravans traveling as far as Timbuctu in Mali. Finally get to Merzouga village and check in to the hotel. Dinner and overnight stay in the hotel.
Day 4 : Tour around Erg Chebbi Desert & Camel Trekking:
Today leave the hotel after breakfast and start an explorative journey of the desert area. Visit the nomads in their very traditional tents (made of goat hair) and learn more about the desert life, afterwards you visit the Gnaoua people, originally slaves brought from Sudan; Benefit from this exceptional chance and listen to their music furthermore learn about their culture and lifestyle. If you visit the desert on a specific time of the year you can see the lake of Merzouga and its bird population such as the “Flamingos”. Then drive on the afternoon the desert camp and explore the mysterious Erg-Chebbi sand-sea dunes. Indulge in the Sahara and experience the wonderful sunset over the golden dunes and its beauty. Then enjoy dinner in the bivouac spending our first night under the stars, or if you prefer in tents. Our camp has western bathrooms.
Day 5 : Merzouga – Rissani – Nekob – Agdez – Ouarzazat :
Wake you up early in the morning by your camel man to watch what well may be the best sunrise of your life. Then back to Merzouga upon your camel back, you’ll not going to fail appreciating the unique beauty of the spectacular Erg Chebbi dunes – changing with the light as the day progresses. After breakfast in your riad, we visit Rissani known as Sijilmassa – and the foundation of the Alaouite Dynasty, the current ruling family. This town is a very traditional one in Morocco With most women veiled and men hooded. After visiting Rissani we continue to Ouarzazate passing by Agdez, before getting to the fascinating Draa Valley at the edge of the Atlas Mountains, along which lay hundreds of Berber Kasbahs. In the evening we arrive at the riad for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 6 : Ouarzazate – Taroudant – Agadir:
Our Last day of Agadir Desert Tours, start with a breakfast in Ouarzazate and then we will drive to Taliouine. There you’ll explore the local cooperative for “ Saffron – red Gold ”. We will take lunch and continue to Taroudant village which has kept the character of its past intact, you admire the Medina and you will visit the souk craftsmanship. Finally we drive to Agadir and drop off at your accommodation chosen by you. End of our Agadir Desert Tours and services.
