Excursions From Fes

    1 Day Trip Fez to Meknes and Volubilis.

We will set off our expedition to Volubilis  ( a UNISCO World Heritage) ,  Moulay Driss,  Meknes and back to Fez city. Throughout this excursion you will discover the awesome of the remnant of the Roman City of Volubilis which was Founded in the 3rd century BC, after a quick break  in a fabulous scenery in Oulad Shaker reservoir. The site was ultimately marked as that of ancient city of  Volubilis until the end of  19th century. About half of the site was quarried, bringing to light fine mosaics particularly during French colonization in Morocco. Furthermore some of high-status buildings were renovated. Nowadays this touristic resort has become a UNISCO World Heritage. Our next station will be Moulay Driss where there is the mausoleum of Moulay Driss Zerhoune, the father of the  founder of Fez city Afterwards, we will carry on our trip to Meknes where we will visit  Bab Lekhmiss, then the Jewish quarter called El mellah. Hri Souani-One of the prestigious Historic monuments of Meknes, situated in south of the Royal Palace and the place of Mechouar which dates back to Moulay Ismail era in the early eighteenth century. It groups a series of relatively cramped room around a spacious central hall 26m, 30 long / 10m, 70 of width. The thickness of the walls ensured a constant temperature that made the preservation of food easy. Deep wells of several tens of meters provided, using a system of Norias generated by animals. Now we ‘re going to shift to the mausoleum of Moulay Ismail. For more information non-Muslims were granted permission to visit such area. This mausoleum was erected in 1703 presenting a  lovely cedar painted ceiling mosaics with figment Koranic scriptures. After, we will go through the victorious  gate arch. The gate stands at sixteen meters high with an eight- meter long arch, the intricately patterned triumphal arch is argued to be the most beautiful in Morocco. Have a short visit to  Place El-Hedime (Square of Ruins) which adjoins the medina and the kasbah.The square is lined with updated residential buildings and a covered food souk (market). Among the most awe-inspiring elements of this imperial city is the grand gate named after the architect, El-Mansour, a Christian renegade who converted to Islam. Return to Fez city to your booked accommodation.

      1 Day Trip Fez to the Middle Atlas Mountains

The town is distinguished by its lakes that were shaped because of some volcanic activities in the very early past. After we will run to Ifrane known as the “Switzerland of Morocco” throughout the Oak forest. Thanks to its acclivity, the town undergoes a great deal of snow over the winter season. Accordingly, such climate makes the area very fresh in hot weather. There is also the National Park which is celebrated with the persistence of a gigantic number of apes, without mentioning the huge existence of cedar trees that cover the whole area. From Ifran to Azrou : One of the most stupendous space in the Middle Atlas. The word ‘Azrou’ stands for rock in Tamazight and at the middle of the town next to the large new mosque is the eponymous rock. The town posses a special loosening atmosohere for those who are hungry for hiking in the wooded environs. Characterized by the vast cedar forest. Its market is largely known by plentiful handcrafted products. Back to Fez.

     1 Day Trip Fez to Rabat

We will set off our journey from Fez to Rabat,The contemporary and historical capital of the kingdom. The city is pinpointed on the Atlantic Ocean coastline, at Bou Regreg inlet river. During this one day outing in Rabat, we will explore the olden days of the city including  its towers and castles. Besides the new town as one of the most updated urban projects being constructed in Africa in the last century.The antiquated part involves Hassan Mosque, the Almohad gates and bulwark, the only outlasting part of the project for a great capital city of Almohad. The guide will lead you to an outing through the delightful Almohads walls of the Udayays Kasabah. As a landmark of Almohad martial design, you will discover Bab Oudaïa, a majestic gate of Almohad dynasty. The coming step will be the Udayays museum. And before removing to the medina, slacken in the Moorish fashion yard. As soon as you have your lunch, keep on walking to Hassan Tower, which forms an important historical and tourist complex in Rabat. It is an incomplete Islamic mosque whose founder died before being fully constructed. Now we shift to Chella, the Necropolis site situated on an antique area. From there to the Majestic Royal Palace. The visitors will find out the charming Islamic archeticture. The guests have the right to visit Al Mechoaur, the locality where the king led the religious feast prayers and amazing grassy gardens by its surrounding. Driving back to Fez.

     1 Day Trip Fez to the Gouffre of Friwato

Visit Taza’s most famous attraction, The Gouffre of Friouato. A unique journey to discover the largest and deepest cave of all north Africa. Do not forget to take with you your dirtiest clothes before attempting to dwell into the mysterious tunnels underground. It is also recommended to visit the cave when it is dry around the spring time. Return to Fez in the evening.

    1 Day trip Fez to Chefchaouen & Rif Mountains

Chefchaouen is a small town in the north eastern part of Rif mountains, full of both of charm and authenticity and away from the biggest touristic centers. The city is known as the blue city of the north since Its streets’ walls are an assortment of blue and white colour. Chefchaouen has always been a well-liked destination for tourists.
